As a native El Pasoan, it is with great pride that I announce my candidacy for Constable in Precinct 1, which serves most of Westside El Paso. As your current Sergeant and Deputy Constable in Precinct 1, I bring 14 years of law enforcement experience to your neighborhood.

After graduating from High School, I obtained my Texas Corrections Officer License and became a Texas Certified Police Officer at 21 years of age. I obtained my certification as a Texas Mental Health Police Officer, which I realized would be of value, later on, in today’s law enforcement culture. More recently, I received my Advanced Police Officer License and have qualified for certification as a Texas Police Officer Instructor. This has established myself in a leadership role that is highly recognized within the law enforcement community. Over the course of my law enforcement career, I have served as a Corrections Officer, Police Officer, and Court Bailiff. My experience uniquely qualifies me to serve as your constable when you compare me with the credentials of my opponents.

The untimely and tragic death of Constable Robert Parker White in Precinct 1, while in the “line of duty” last November left a large area of Westside El Paso without the knowledgeable law enforcement leadership it has been accustomed to for a number of years. Your vote will insure that your neighborhood will continue to be served at the highest level of professional competency.

I am immensely humbled to receive the support and endorsement of Constable White’s family.

But with all the good work that has been done in Precinct 1, there’s always room for improvement. Together, we can make the Constable’s Office more efficient and effective, and as your elected constable, I will focus on three main issues:

  • Increasing Public Trust
  • Safeguarding Neighborhoods
  • Administrative Streamlining

I have a strong passion to serve the people of Precinct 1, as a “full time” constable with the highest level of integrity and fairness. I understand that to truly serve and protect the community, you have to be part of that community. I’ve demonstrated this not only in my capacity as a law enforcement officer, but also through my community service initiatives such as Thanksgiving turkey drives and holiday toy drives for children, as well as numerous speaking venues throughout the Westside area.

The constituents of Precinct 1 deserve no less than the highest level of service and integrity.

I ask for your vote as the most qualified candidate in this election.

Your VOTE will KEEP OSCAR serving YOU in Precinct 1.
